Dealing with Tragedy: McCain Style
What kind of sick bastard picks a tragedy like what happened today in Virginia to reaffirm his support for the right to carry weapons? While the horror was still fresh and the details were unfolding, John McCain had this to say:
"We have to look at what happened here, but it doesn't change my views on the Second Amendment, except to make sure that these kinds of weapons don't fall into the hands of bad people," McCain said while campaigning in this Texas-Mexico border city.I'm sorry, this was no time to try to score points with the backwoods redneck scum Republican base. And it sounds to me like this kid was probably a "law-abiding citizen" right up until he killed 33 innocent people today. Perhaps McCain should shut the fuck up and head back to Iraq where it's nice and safe.
"I do believe in the constitutional right that everyone has, in the Second Amendment to the Constitution, to carry a weapon," he said. "Obviously we have to keep guns in the hands of law-abiding citizens."

Meh, ya knew cheap politicos were gonna jump on this one, cheapest firstest. But what if 32 kids had been packin' and were properly edumacated in the use of them tools? I'm just sayin'... mighta been only one death. Free guns for all airline passengers too! Way cheaper than airport security...
Gotta disagree with you there my man. I think the 2nd Amendment says "well regulated" which to me suggests, Congress has the responsibility to pass laws to regulate gun ownership. I'm not saying we should melt down all handguns but I am saying getting a gun ought to be at least as difficult as getting a drivers license.
