I Lack Motivation

I apologize to those who come here looking for something new each day and find very few posts. I feel like I've said it all at this point. You can only point out Bush's lies and failures over and over so many times before it starts to become shrill and meaningless. And the world is in such a terrible spot right now. International diplomacy is collapsing. It's depressing.

I still hold out hope that the Dems can take at least one house in Congress but I'm not holding my breath.

More death and destruction. More of our guys killed. No end in sight. No victory possible. We'll take more guys from one place in Iraq to help stabilize Baghdad but then the place they just left will fall into chaos. And violence will continue to create more violence. We can't kill this beast.

Most of what you'll see here for the next few months will be humor. Maybe I'll get charged up toward the elections in November. Hopefully the polls will suggest the rest of America feels the same way about our current leadership. Hopefully they see the Dems as a reasonable alternative. Hopefully the world isn't in flames by then.

Damn it, how did we let it get this fucked up?

Dude, couldn't have said it better. Been a bit slack on the posts myself lately. How many ways, how many times can you say- "Goddamn, what an idiotic, inbred, greedy, evil, stupid, clueless, lying, sexist, racist, cheap ass, shortsighted, hypocritical, foul mouthed, alchoholic, pigfucking son of a bitch we have for a Presumpdent."? Gonna try to post more funny meself, wanna compete? Peace!

"I suppose if laying down and taking it is a proper alternative then the dems are your party of choice."

Yeah, those damn out of power Dems got us here! The world is in the crapper... Let's blame the Democrats! - Karl Rove

And that's a crock, IMO. This President's leadership, rubber-stamped all the way through by the Republican Congress, put us exactly where we are today. This President dropped the ball on Israel and jumped the gun on Iraq. And when he decided to go to war he probably should have planned it better, no?

You can say this is a cultural war all you want, and you may be right. But the facts are on the table and this was made significantly worse by this administration's incompetence.

And when the Dems call for a plan, ANY PLAN, and/or some REAL oversight, they're doing their job. Don't give me that bullshit "cut and run" Rush Limbaugh dittohead crap. We're knee deep in blood and this war can't be "won". Meanwhile, this President makes the situation worse every day.

This President's best efforts are lacking. In many many respects. He was a known simpleton before he was elected and he's never proven otherwise.

I said you were correct that this may be a cultural war but I said that doesn't excuse the many failures of this administration.

And simply blaming Muslims for this when there are many examples where the US has failed them, consistently, doesn't address the many gray areas of the debate. Unless you're willing to drop the big one, there is no winning this. Our soldiers are dying for nothing. And this President and his leadership put us where we are.

As for a plan, the Dems have put forth many. Take a read of archives of this site for examples. Or search this site for "Democrats" and "Plan". Or "Murtha".

"Peace at any cost" I've never endorsed. Nor do most Democrats. But while we've taken Iraq out of the hands of a tyrant, we've turned it over to "radical Islam."

9/11 wasn't our fault but I think using it as a wedge to get the NeoCons what they wanted, an unnecessary war with Iraq, was certainly something I can blame this administration for.

I won't argue with you on homosexuality or evolution as I feel it would be a waste of time.

And if you think Bush is smart, you haven't been paying attention.
