
A few days ago Bush had his photo-op in Iraq. He once again used the occasion to use the phrase "turned a corner" or something similar. A friend of mine pointed out that every four times you turn the corner, you end up at the same place. So, I suppose, Bush could be telling the truth. This is about the 48
th time we've turned the corner and things haven't changed one bit in Iraq. The Republican Congress is using the war as a
political tool to try to paint the Democrats as weak. Meanwhile our guys are dying and nothing had changed. Nothing will.
BAGHDAD (Reuters) - A series of bombs killed at least 43 people in and near Baghdad on Saturday, police said, in one of the bloodiest days in Iraq since a U.S. military air strike killed Abu Musab al-Zarqawi 10 days ago.
The Middle East cannot be domesticated by force.
