Oil Could Triple in Price

World oil prices could double or triple over the current painful $70-per-barrel level if diplomacy failed and military conflict broke out over Iran's nuclear ambitions, Saudi Ambassador Prince Turki al-Faisal warned this morning.

Honestly, a win/win for the Bush crew, no? His oil buddies would rake it in while he got to be a wartime President for another few years. Never mind that he'd go into the Iran war understanding that the real hard work, the clean-up, would occur well after he was out of office. He's already said some other President will need to get us out of Iraq so what's one more clusterfuck to him? And since the additional deaths would be poor kids, there'd be fewer Democrats in the future. And while we were at war they could use it to shut up their detractors again, muzzle the pesky press.
