Sure, Ozzie Guillen's use of the word "fag" to describe Jay Mariotti was wrong. But like Ozzie, I've always thought of that word as an attack on a person's manhood, not his sexuality. And Jay isn't a man. Not once has he ever gone to a clubhouse after ripping someone on that team. He rarely goes to sporting events, period. His entire livelihood is based on stirring up problems where none exist and ripping down that which he doesn't understand in the first place. And after all is said and done and the house is burning down, he prints "It isn't about me" and walks away to let others sort out the mess.

Ozzie may need to learn to be more politically correct but Mariotti needs to be fired. Chicago doesn't need a muckraker like him. Send him to San Francisco to join Skip Bayless.
