Reagan

Today a few guys in my office shot me the same email containing a bunch of quotes by Ronald Reagan. Most were funny but they essentially boiled down to the same punch line: Liberals are bad. And, they both giggled like school girls about the greatness of Reagan shown in his words and one of them said, "Funny, I haven't seen a list of quotable lines from your hero Clinton".

Don't get me wrong, I liked Reagan. I thought he was often wrong but he was a great President in that he was able to lead with the opposing party in control of Congress. George W. Bush can't get anything right with complete control of every branch!

Sure, I'd take the Gipper in a heartbeat over the current chump because fiscal conservatives I understand. I have no clue what conservative means these days. They're all a bunch of pussies who don't understand what Ben Franklin meant when he said, "They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety."

Reagan was everything Bush wants to be but he doesn't have the charisma or leadership qualities. Or balls. Fear has driven Bush his entire life, from joining the National Guard to avoid service in Vietnam to spitting on the Constitution under the guise of protecting the American people.

We need protection from wimps like him! We'll all die one day and when we do, I hope we leave our sons and daughters an America our founding fathers would still be proud to call home.
