Poor and Middle Class Screwed Again!

See the story linked below. The Energy Secretary is now saying we should expect high energy costs for the remainder of Bush's term. Well duh, I could've told you that! This was part of the plan all along! And if I'm wrong, why won't they make public their discussions with Exxon and Enron when they put together their energy policy?

The answer is obvious. Gasoline and other energy prices began to rise when Bush's plan was put in place. It had nothing to do with 9/11 or Iraq, the price of a gallon of gasoline stayed relatively stable through the end of 2003 and they were reasonable and flat through the election in 2004. There's been no restraint since because he can't run again and resultant price has gone through the roof. He owed his cronies in the oil business and he's paying them back. Simple.

And when the middle class got their squirt of piss tax cut while the rich made out like bandits, consider this...

Not a squirt of piss!
"No more than 7%" on the last line of the chart is a nice way of saying the cost as a percentage of your budget continues to decrease the richer you get.
