In Enemy Territory

I'm down in the "great" state of Texas for the next few days. I'm here for work but I've decided to do a little unscientific polling too. I've worked for this company for 17 years so I've had a lot of political arguments. Me against the lot of them! Usually not a smart thing to do, talk politics with your boss(es), but hey, it hasn't hurt me yet...

Anyway, before the election, I was down here and the general consensus was W was doing a good job in a tough spot and they were all able to justify almost anything he had done to date. I say they were making excuses for an obviously idiotic man but hey, that's just my opinion.

To make a long story short, it was never difficult to find someone looking for a fight back then. Texans approached me from every angle trying to get a piece of me, the "liberal". And we went at it pretty good. Today was my first day here and not one person said a thing. Pussies!

Tomorrow I'll press a few buttons and report back. Stay tuned!

Thanks for that link lalynn. Good stuff. Believe it or not, this song seems to have had more impact on the folks down there than anything else I've said.

It speaks to them in their language and the words are powerful. Anyway, welcome to my little blog and thanks again.
