#2

UPDATE: According to the latest, Zawahri was invited to be at the dinner where this attack occurred. If that's true (and given the Bush Administration's record, who knows?) then I feel for any innocents killed in the attack but... Shit happens. If you harbor terrorists, expect your house to get blown up. Simple equation.

Regardless, credibility is certainly an issue. Pakistan has erupted in protest over this attack and they simply aren't buying our explanations. I can't blame them as most of America no longer trusts anything the Bush team says.

Last night there were reports (and Fox News was using the opportunity to praise Bush and justify the entire war effort) about our forces killing the #2 man in al-Qaida. Since this was the 57th time I've heard a claim like this, I held off reporting it here until there was some confirmation. Well, it appears, the only #2 around is the deep doo doo we're in over the attack.

Another screw-up and another Muslim town that hates the US more now than they did before. And a friendly nation condemning us over the attack. This is what Bush has led us to.

"Their information was wrong, and our investigations conclude that they acted on a false information," said a senior Pakistani intelligence official.
The full article here. Meanwhile, Fox has moved on. Right now they're talking about how Russia is our new #1 enemy. The world needs more death and destruction, let's attack Russia now! Idiots.
