Remembering the 2004 Campaign

I recall the Bush team making a big deal out of Kerry's alleged willingness to "allow the UN to dictate when and where the US would use force." Remember that? It was complete bullshit but that isn't the point. The point is their utter hypocrisy. These days the Bush team is saying "as the Iraqis stand up, we'll stand down."

So, adding 2 plus 2... They're not willing to let the international community play any role or have a voice (aka diplomacy) but they will allow the competence of Iraqi soldiers to determine how many Americans die before we leave.

Does that make sense to you?
