The Murtha Plan

By the way, what Murtha is actually proposing isn't an immediate withdrawal. That's just bullshit spin by the Whitehouse which led to the political stunt pulled by the Republicans in Congress the other day. Listen to what Murtha says in the video I've provide a link to below. He's saying we should pull our guys out to safe zones and have them available for rapid deployment. In other words, allow the Iraqis to run things themselves and be available to assist the legitimate government should the need arise.

Damn it, our guys are too important not to listen to sensible plans like this! Take the target off our boys you put there by going into this war with no international support! Do the right thing George. In fact, if you're smart, you should appoint a Democrat to run the rebuilding program. Ever hear of the Marshall Plan? What party was in power then and what party did Marshall belong to? If you're really a uniter, do it and do it now. Lose the arrogance and set your pride aside, our guys deserve better.
