Bird Brain and Bird Flu

My cynical side is getting the best of me. Does anyone else find it odd that the week the scandal really hits the fan, we're hearing about this bird flu for the first time from Team W? It's also odd that after trashing the scientific community for 5 years running they're now putting Bush in white scrubs and rubber gloves, eh? Mr. Wizzo indeed.

OK, I know the Bird Flu is a serious topic and I shouldn't be feeling this way but... It is the Bush Administration! This pandemic has been a topic of discussion now for three years, minimum. Welcome to the party.

I suppose one bit of good that may come from the indictment(s) is the resultant focus on something else. ANYTHING ELSE! I honestly believe the Bush Boys are simply playing bait and switch here but in the meantime, real scientists are getting our attention and that's a good thing. Maybe the creationists will shut the hell up for a few weeks while the world devises a plan to save us from extinction. Of course, we could always just rely on duct tape and the Good Book.
