Al Gore was Right

It's been a long time since I read the book Earth in the Balance by then Senator Gore but I seem to remember it had a few thoughts on Global Warming. Well, a new study suggests that the ferocity of hurricanes is attributable to warming.

I don't know if my other opinions on Gore are correct...

• 9/11 may not have occurred if Gore was President (a much smarter man would have been able to read the reports he was given and take action rather than taking vacation)
• We'd be less reliant on foreign oil because Detroit would have been challenged to increase MPG standards long ago (unlike the current administration that sold their souls to the oil companies)
• We'd not be in quagmire in Iraq (because Al would've focused on the guilty and had too much integrity to falsify evidence)

BUT I'M CERTAIN the environment would have had a much better caretaker in Gore and we'd be moving the planet in the right direction with his leadership.
