Some of the People...

I guess it's really true; you can't fool all of the people all of the time. The recent poll numbers suggest Bush isn't fooling many. Only 38% approve of his handling of the war in Iraq. Since about 38% of the people would approve if Bush walked into their living room and sodomized their dog, I doubt Shrub will sink any lower.

And then I saw this... Republican Sen. Rick Santorum says Bush is full of shit on evolution. Santorum is as batshit crazy as any rightwing nut I've ever seen but even he can read the political tea leaves. Bush is going down the toilet and many of his biggest bestest buddies are jumping off his smelly brown clump of tissue.

Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

UPDATE: According to this newer poll, 4% more dogs are safe than I originally thought. Good news for the dogs, I guess. Anyway, it seems only 34% of the folks in this poll think ol' W is doing a good job handling Iraq. Where were these people in November?!?
