Busholution
As a 7 year old boy I asked a teacher a question about Adam and Eve. The teacher was a nun and I was in Catholic School. I don't remember the specific question I asked but her answer was "The bible cannot be read literally." That was probably 1972.
Today, we have a dope of a President, beholden to special interests on the ethical fringe of society. These knuckleheads apparently never talked to my second grade teacher. They actually believe that God created the Garden of Eden and that the bible, word for word, is true. How can one reason with people who don't believe in the scientific discoveries of the last 2,000 years? How can one argue with that "logic?" It explains a lot to me.
I'll never understand completely but it's easy to see how Bush could get elected given this climate. The world is laughing as us and while I'm pissed off about it, I have to agree with them, this is a joke. Or a nightmare.
