Bush selects Roberts

We got a nut and now we're all screwed. This guy was Rehnquist's bitch and is far right of O'Connor on every issue. For those interested in Roe, there's this:

“The court’s conclusion in Roe that there is a fundamental

UPDATE: Well, this morning, the conservative spin machine is making this guy out to be a moderate. Very telling.

WAG THE DOG II: The discussion on the left is now starting to gear toward the idea that Bush announced this nomination to take some heat off Rove. Hard for me to say one way or the other but it seems W took the appropriate amount of time to figure out who he wanted and then made an announcement. The fact that Rove is a scumbag caught up in a web of his own lies really has nothing to do with it, in my opinion.
